Cube Studio Films

Bought another 4GB of Ram overclocked my CPU to 3.0ghz on stock cooling. I’m compelety not in the mood for any machinima work. Why? Valve still hasn’t done anything about faceposer and SDK. Leaving me behind.

I built my new rig today.

Case: Antec 1200

Motherboard: Asus Formula RAMPAGE

CPU: Intel Q6600 2.4ghz Quad Core

GPU: Sapphire 4870 1GB

RAM: 4GB 2×2GB G-Skill DDR2 800

HD: 500GB Western Digital

Sound: BlackHawk (Came with motherboard though i don’t even use it since i don’t use speakers)

Rush Processing on Newegg is pure bullshit. Yeah it’s 4$ so nothing loss but it was FASTER without it. It’s surpose to make packaging and getting it handed to UPS or Fedex faster so you get your stuff faster but it’s acutally SLOWER then doing it without it.

I know there was no chance of me getting it this week but the plan was it to get it monday, looks like i’ll be getting everything tuesday. God forbid i get parts from all over the united states like my last bid where everything but the video card came in the same day from new jersey  but the video card comes from texas.

Oh yeah, it did speed up the Submited to Charged steps though i guess thats what it’s for. Spend money to to loose money faster.

Building a new rig. Specs will be released after it’s built. Taking a break from what i’ve been working on till it’s built and running. Hopefully i’ll have the parts by monday-tuesday counting on newegg and when the money is cleared.

This computer will be a BEAST. Not like my 650$ budget one i’m using now that still kicks ass in pretty much every game not related to crysis. Specs on this one i’m using are

AMD X2 4850e

XFX 8600GT

2GB Of Ram ( Was 4 till motherboard fault  )

250GB Hard-drive

You can see why i’m upgrading to a new rig. This guy lasted over a month and will be used as a server when needed.

I recived a PM on facepunch by Funcoot recommending Wegame. I’ve known about it but never knew the true quality that i can upload. 20 minutes and 1GB upload limit? Amazing. Thanks funcoot for recommending it to me.

Is this the end of me using Vimeo for Machinima? Maybe, I never tried uploading an acutal machinima video onto there site but i’ll try and see what happens, For now Wegame it is. All future videos will be in 720p now.

After i made this i went to sleep and would upload it next day. Too bad my computer failed, I lost 2GB of ram otherwise im good.

I decided to stress test my new system running everything on all High (Textures Very High) with 16xAA and went on a server to film a timelapse, Now this took forever as every server lasted a minute just because it ended up deathmatching and me dieing 30 seconds after filming or the server crashing. So I finally just clicked on one of the default name “Garry’s Mod Server” And it lasted a good 10 minutes.
